- Percy went back outside and found grover sitting near the water fountain and Nancy Bobofit soaking wet.
- Percy originally thought everyone was pretending that they didn't know Mrs.Dodds. However ,Percy then realized that everybody never heard of Mrs.Dodds. Percy was confused why nobody remembered their old math teacher.

- Percy couldn't get Mrs.Dodds out of his mind. He started to get more cranky and his grades started slipping. One day Percy's english teacher Mr.Nicoll asked him why has he been so lazy lately, but Percy snapped and the headmaster sent a note to Percy's mother saying he will not be invited next year.
- Percy wasn't sad leaving Yancy,however he would miss Mr.Brunner and Grover.Exams were coming up and Percy did not want to fail Mr.Brunner's test.
- Percy decided to go ask Mr.Brunner for some pointers.he walked down the faculty offices,all the other offices were dark and empty,except for Mr.Brunner's office.Percy was three steps away from the door handle,when he heard Grover's voice.Percy froze and began to eavesdrop.
- Percy was so shocked that he dropped his textbook,the room went silent. Percy picked up the book and quickly went back down the hall, he looked back at Mr.Brunner's office and saw a tall figure that didn't look like a man in a wheelchair.Percy quickly opened the nearest door and went inside.
