- Michael, stop behaving like a child!
- But father, I am a child!
- i'm telling you, Mrs Smith is a witch. I've seen her practising witchcraft!
- Everyone envied me because of my father's important position in the town. Being the governor's son sound like a good thing, but in fact it wasn't easy. My father was a puritian and very strict.
- I wish I had taken some riding lessons!
- And they left their lamp here
- I was to agitated to go straight home, so i walked around the town. As i passed the pub, I heard some people talking in the garden. The name 'Smith' caught my attention, so i stopped to listen, making sure that they couldn't see me.
- Someone was here in the barn and tried to set fire to the hay!
- They know we plan to escape, somebody was trying to stop us
- They entered the barn and one of them threw his oil lamp onto the hay, which immediately caught fire. Then, they unlocked the gates of the stalls, so the horses could run free.
- She knows I was here! But she can't think I did this. I could never cause her harm.
- Let's go!
- Black Thunder, ran out of the barn through the open door. I grabbed a rope, jump onto Mr Smith's brown horse and galloped after him. I bounced on the horse's back, wishing I had taking some riding lessons!I succeced in getting the rope around his neck and slowing him down
- Just then, I heard Sarah and her parents approaching the barn! I hid behind the hay and observed them
- As Sarah approached her horse, she saw something shiny on the floor. She picked it up and realised what it was. I touched my neck and realised what it was.
