- After my AMAZING discovery, our tribe decided to settle near a river! We use it for drinking water and to grow our crops.
- Now that we grow our own crops of rice and wheat, we've begun to have a surplus of food! We save this for the winter when we cannot grow food.
- Now that we have a surplus of food, we can have job specialization, which means that people can do other things besides food production.
- We are no longer nomads! We stay in one place to work, eat, and create!
- People can focus on one job, basket weaving or tool making for example. They help to make this place a civilization.
- Our new sophisticated tools allow us to chop wood to make houses, structures, canoes, and more tools.
- All of these things have helped us from a community; a civilization! Agriculture, domestication, and surplus have heavily impacted our lives!
