  • In this story Harrison Burgeron by Kurt Vonnegut was compelling. I found it interesting how everyone conformed to the governments rules. Someone like Harrison who was too smart for the government was given handicapped bags and an ear piece that would ring in increments. This ear piece allowed for smart people to have their thought controlled by the government so everyone was on the same level. This Story shows how society would look like if everyone is on the same level but man made. Hazel was forgetting her thoughts on her own very quickly but her husband George had the ear piece that helped to make him forget. It's ironic how everyone who lost their mind on their own thought that the people with the ear piece were the dumb ones. This story shows how society is easily moldable and so quickly.
