  • A LONGA WAY FROM HOME
  • Once upon a time, there was a tiny dog named Longa. Longa lived in a big city in Mexico with her sister, Fanny.
  • Longa and Fanny explored the city every day, finding new spots to play together.
  • TACOS
  • There was one place in particular that the two loved to be the most. And that was at the Taco Truck!
  • The owner had very strict rules. He would not give food to the dogs that came by, no matter how much they begged...
  • TACOS
  • ...But he had a soft spot for Longa and Fanny.
  • One day while Longa and Fanny were there, they noticed a little girl, Carmen, come by the truck with her dad for some tacos. The two of them had just finished up some shopping.
  • TACOS
  • Carmen was very excited. She bought a pair of new fuzzy pink slippers! Longa and Fanny LOVED slippers. They couldn't keep their eyes off of them.
  • TACOS

  • While their backs were turned to order, Longa decided now was her chance. She ran over and grabbed the slippers!
  • TACOS
  • When they turned back around, they couldn't believe it! Someone had stolen Carmen's new fuzzy pink slippers!
  • TACOS
  • When they got home, Carmen's dad reported the theft to the police. The police officer said he would keep an eye out for the slippers while he was on his rounds that night.
  • Meanwhile, the police officer had an idea of where to check... Two weeks ago, he had noticed two little doggies snuggled up together in the alley. They had a collection of old socks and shoes that they appeared to use as bedding. He thought maybe this could be who took Carmen's new fuzzy pink slippers.
  • The police officer was proud of himself for finding the thieves and getting the new fuzzy pink slippers back to little Carmen. However, he wasn't sure what to do with the dogs..
  • He decided he would keep them in jail for the night while he thought over what to do. He made sure to leave them with food and water in the meantime.
  • ,,
  • Proud from solving the case, the police officer went home and told his wife, Maria, about his day and how he got the new fuzzy pink slippers back to Carmen... But all Maria could think about was poor Longa and Fanny, who were now locked up at the police station. She had to go see them.
  • ,,
  • When Maria arrived at the station that night, the doggies were so happy to see a kind face. Maria fell in love with the two sisters instantly, and she decided that she would bring them to the animal shelter and check on them everyday until they both found new homes.
  • Hola, perritos!!
  • A few weeks later, a young couple came in to meet Longa. They had recently moved to San Francisco and had been looking for the perfect dog for their apartment together. Longa seemed great, so they packed the car and drove down to Mexico to meet her. It was love at first sight... Longa had found her new family.
  • I think we should call her Samba, what do you think?
  • And so... Samba, Katie, and Matthew lived happily ever after together in their new home in San Francisco.
  • I think that's perfect
  • THE END.
