Here we go! In 1930,american astronomer Clyde Tombaugh discovered pluto.
In 2006 however, changes were made.According to the International Astronomical Union, a celestal body must meet the following criteria to qualify as a planet:
A planet must be round,a planet must orbit the sun,a planet must have"cleared the neighborhood" of it's orbit.
This means that as the planet travels, its gravity sweeps and clears the space around it of other objects.

pluto does not follow the third rule. It has not yet cleared the neighborhood of it's orbit, but don't feel sad for pluto,
it has a new title-"Dwarf planet". There are currently five dwarf planets in space, scientists expect more dwarf planets over time.

WOW! That was very interesting, it's nice to learn something new every day!
