Farmers faced difficulties transporting their crops to markets and the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees (APMC). A lack of storage facilities forced fruit and vegetable farmers to sell at extremely low prices . In total, 42% of the export from India in March–May came to a complete halt because of the international travel and transport ban .
