Süžeeskeem Tekst

  • The first line of the poem allows for a very tranquil beginning. This allows for the mood to be developed for the poem. The imagery created in this frame allows to illustrate the persons death. However they don't want their significant other to dwell on it. This line creates the theme of the story being death and mourning in relationships.
  • No longer mourn for me when I am dead
  • the hand that writ it, for i love you so
  • This line represents an important part of the poem. This is because it is reminding the reader that they are loved. Although the theme is death, it is also mourning in relationships. This connects to the theme because it could be about a significant other dying and the other person having to move on. When a loved one passes it can be hard to move on. This line provides comfort for the other loved one.
  • Tone is used throughout the story. This helps the reader understand the poem. Tone can be found easily through the writers diction as well as their imagery. For example, “the hand that writ it, for i love you,” allows the reader to imagine the words they have read. Another example is “o! if i say,” sounding louder than the other parts of the poem. This guarantees the tone to be heard.
