  • After the journey to Cuba we waited for days and days to get in. My dad thought that they would send us back to Germany and so he jumped over board in attempted suicide but luckily a kind police officer jumped over board and saved him and he got taken into Cuba to heal. The captain of the ship eventually told us we were going back to Europe after we tried to get into america and failed. My sister, Mother, and I ended up in France. We thought we were safe there then Nazis invaded. We tried to run away but got captured. My Mom got the choice to Save me or my sister Ruthie. She couldn't decide because she loved us both equally. I ended up having to act like an adult and save Ruthie. My Mom and I got sent to a Concentration camp and that's the end of my story. I hope Ruthie is still okay.
  • My family crossed through turkey Then had to get on a Little rubber dingy. There was a lot of people on it and it was very cramped. At one point our boat popped on some rocks we couldn't see and many people drowned. I was able to spot another boat and got them to take my little sister Hana to safety. I haven't seen her since and I hope she living her best life. My mother and I eventually reunited with my brother and dad on a coast guard ship. We got to safety and took a ferry inland. We crossed through many countries and at one point we took a ride from someone in their taxi to get across a country and he tricked us. We were held at Gunpoint and forced to pay much more than intended. I thought I was going to die. at the border into hungry they tear gassed us and took us on a truck to a containment center. I finally decided that I was done being invisable and decided to become visible. I also had to act like an adult and I walked out the door of the containment center and walked the twelve hour walk to Austria. In Austria there was people waiting for us that gave us Food and water. Everyone was so grateful. From there it was pretty easy considering everything else to Get to Germany. When we finally got to Germany everyone was leaping with joy and so happy. A nice German couple even had candy for all the children. After a while a Nice old couple hosted us in their home. The old Lady was named Ruthie. I bet she was your sister. She is still okay now.
