- There are two types of grasshoppers in the gene pool. A blue grasshopper and a black.
- The birds have a preference for the blue grasshopper rather than the black grasshopper and the black ones continue to produce.
- The black grasshoppers were able to survive and reproduce because the bird preferred the blue grasshoppers over them.
- Due to the birds the black grasshoppers took over the green pool.
