  • CHAPTER 4 By late summer, the animal's idealism had spread throughout half of the county, with creatures all over the place singing "Beasts of England." As a result, Mr. Jones has began advancing on the Animal Farm with some of Pilkington's and Frederick's men, putting Animal property in risk. The animals battle courageously, and the humans are quickly defeated.
  • CHAPTER 5 Because of the winter, Snowball creates different strategies to generate electricity and automate many farming tasks, bringing new comforts to the animals’ lives. During a meeting to decide whether Snowball's idea of building a windmill would be carried out, dogs, sent by Napoleon, follow and drive Snowball away from the farm. Napoleon's action is questioned, but the pig supports Snowball's idea, and states that his expulsion served to promote the best collective interest.

  • CHAPTER 6The animals work tirelessly to cultivate crops and construct a windmill. Napoleon employs Mr. Whymper, a human solicitor, to manage sell on the farm's interest. One of the Seven Commandments is broken by the pigs because they sleep on beds, but Napoleon tells a lie about the commandment's truth, claiming that the real source of evil is sheets. After a storm destroys the windmill, Snowball is chosen by Napoleon as the traitor's killer.
