- I stood by the door peeking through the crack of the room that housed the vulture looking eye
- I held the lantern which gave a dim glow that reflected on the eye
- I can't let him see the light of another day
- It will not be long before the sound of his heart becomes silenced for good.
- Another night I find myself looking upon the peculiar evil eye that pumps rage through my mind.
- Oh how angry it gets me to hear the low beating of his heart.
- His heart beat is increasing more and more.
- The beating became so loud it was like pounding
- I remained watching him ever so silently, the only sound heard was the heartbeat which grew louder and quicker
- What is going on? It sounds like his heart is about to burst!
- Then it dawned upon me.. the neighbors might hear what I am about to do
- As his heart beat increased I began to feel anxious
- The time has finally come for the old man to go
- I yelled and threw open the lantern that I was holding
- Only one scream came from him and one it stayed
- Ahh!
