Hello I'm Stephen Glaudel Here at the U.S capitol building a perfect representation of democracy.
Say, you don't know what a democracy is?
Well let me tell you. First of all a democracy is the freest type of government. That is because the people decide what they can and can't do.
There are two types of democracies: direct and representative. In a direct democracy every single person has a voice in deciding what laws are made. In a representative democracy which is what most countries have everyone at a certain age can vote on people to represent them
Democracies usually have a mixed market economy meaning business owners get to decide the prices of what they sell but the government collects taxes for other funds.
As I said before, there is a lot of freedom in a democracy. This is because in a democracy people are allowed to choose their religion, elect people that have the same views as them, and keep the money that they make (not counting taxes).
Well, now I'm hear to vote and elect someone who supports my views. I am glad I live in a democracy.
