- Hello I'm Stephen Glaudel Here at the U.S capitol building a perfect representation of democracy.
- Say, you don't know what a democracy is?
- Well let me tell you. First of all a democracy is the freest type of government. That is because the people decide what they can and can't do.
- There are two types of democracies: direct and representative. In a direct democracy every single person has a voice in deciding what laws are made. In a representative democracy which is what most countries have everyone at a certain age can vote on people to represent them
- Democracies usually have a mixed market economy meaning business owners get to decide the prices of what they sell but the government collects taxes for other funds.
- As I said before, there is a lot of freedom in a democracy. This is because in a democracy people are allowed to choose their religion, elect people that have the same views as them, and keep the money that they make (not counting taxes).
- Well, now I'm hear to vote and elect someone who supports my views. I am glad I live in a democracy.
