- SETTINGS: in a town CHARACTERS : Father, young narrator and his siblings, rich man , rich man's family
- CLIMAX
- There was a young narrator describing his family who lived in a town with his rich neighbor. The poor man's family often hang outside to play and laugh and unintentionally smell the aroma of the food the rich man's maid cook. The rich man's family are always kept inside the house.
- FALLING ACTION
- As time went on, the rich man's children became thin and unhealthy while the young narrator's family grew healthy and even more full of life. One day the rich man closed all the windows after seeing the young narrator's siblings full of life.
- DENOUEMENT
- The rich man had filed a complaint against the poor family stating they have been stealing the wealth of their health and food
- The trial began by the rich man's lawyer asking annoying questions to the father. After answering, the father requested to bring the rich man's children to answer the same questions. After being somehow proven guilty, the father agreed to pay the crime that committed.
- The father took his straw hat and began filling them with centavo pieces. The sweet tinkle of coins carried beautifully in the courtroom. He asked the rich man if he heard the sound and told him "That's the spirit of money, you are paid."
