- EISENHOWER: I'm developing a plan with the CIA to train Cuban exiles to invade Cuba. I approved it in March 1960.
- KENNEDY: Once I became President, I authorized Eisenhower's plan and set it in motion in February 1961.
- EXILE FIGHTER 2: 1,400 soldiers stormed the beach, while a smaller group landed on the East Coast of Cuba to confuse them.
- EXILE FIGHTER 1: We flew in at night to launch a surprise attack on Cuba, which we hoped would make an invasion easier.
- CUBAN FIGHTER 2: The US didn't see our counter-attack coming, and we sank two of their escort ships and destroyed half of their air support.
- CUBAN FIGHTER 1: We used our planes to fight back after the US attacked.
- EXILE FIGHTER 3: JFK sent out an "air-umbrella" of American fighter planes to help defend our aircraft, but they showed up too late.
- CUBAN FIGHTER 3: We shot down their assistance before they were able to help. 1,200 exiled fighters surrendered, and we killed more than 100 of them.
- CASTRO: After much deliberation with America, I settled on being given $53 million worth of baby food and medicine in exchange for the prisoners.
- KENNEDY: After the failed Cuban Exile plan, I started Operation Mongoose, which was a plan to sabotage and destabilize the Cuban government and economy.
