- Mrs. White is crying at the window wishing at her lucky stars to have her son Herbert come back to life. (Camera close up at her then look at the star she is wishing at and then play sad music to match her emotion. Then have the lighting dark with one light shining on her.)
- Mr. White is telling her it is normal to morn and they will make it through this. Then Mrs. White gets an idea from looking at her lucky star that she should make a wish on the monkey's paw to bring Herbert back to life. ( Have the camera zoom out to get them and the entire room into the frame and have the lighting dark and hopeful music playing)
- Mrs. White sprints down the stairs and finds the monkey's paw and she makes her wish. (The camera plays suspense music when she is trying to find to paw the lighting is dark then has a light on the monkey's paw. Then play happy music.)
- Mrs. White gets to the room and finds her husband sleeping. She wakes him up to tell him what she had down. (Have the camera zoom in to see the expression on Mrs. White's face. Have music have an upbeat sound, and make the lighting a little lighter to match the expression of the joy Mrs. White has)
- Mr. White is upset at Mrs. White for even touching the monkey's paw. They are fighting because Mrs. White wants her son back while Mr. White doesn't want his son back because he would be in pain. (Have upsetting music play, and have the camera going back and forth between them so the audience feels like they are in the story watching it happen. Have the lighting dark.)
- Mr. and Mrs. White fall asleep and Mr. White hears a knock on the door. Mr. White goes downstairs and Mrs. White wakes up and runs after him. She tries to unlock the door and can not. In the meantime, Mr. White makes the third wish. Mrs. White gets the door open and no one is there. ( Have upbeat suspense music to make the audience on the edge of their seat. Have the camera go back and forth between them. And the lighting has to be erie.) Sammy Kern
