- Romeo wanted Rosaline. But then he fell in love with Juliet. So he went to her castle and at first spied on her but then talked with her. Then they decided to get married.
- "Th' exchange of thy love's faithful vow for mine."
- "What satisfaction canst thou have tonight?"
- Romeo wants to marry Juliet. But Friar Lawrence is concerned because Romeo moved on from Rosaline very fast. So Friar Lawrence gives Romeo a speech about moving on too quickly. Then Friar Lawrence agrees to help Romeo and Juliet get married. He thinks it will end the family feud.
- "Not in a grave, to lay one in, another out to have."
- "I pray thee, chide not. Her I love now Doth grace from grace and love for love allow. The other did not so."
- Juliet wants to hear the message the Nurse has from Romeo. But the Nurse is very tired from running around all day. So Juliet gets very impatient and keeps asking about the message. Then the Nurse finally shares the message, which is Romeo is ready to get married.
- "Here's such a coil, Come, what says Romeo?"
- "Have you got leave to go to shrift today?"
