- We will never give up
- This picture shows that in the spring of 1776 the Britsh abandoned Boston to go and capture New York.
- On August 27, 1776, the Americans and British fought in Brooklyn, New York. The Americans were very inexperienced and lost 1,407 men while the Britsh only lost 377 men.
- In this photo, it shows General Washington telling his troops to never give up, and even though the Britsh were waiting for them to retreat Washington would not tell his troops to retreat.
- I'm staying loyal to America and fighting for the Americans even if that does mean that I won't get freedom when the war ends.

- This picture shows how the African Americans had to pick a side to fight with during the revolution. Lots of African Americans chose to fight with the Britsh because they promised the African Americans that fought with their freedom. But, the African Americans weren't able to join the war until later into the war.
