- 7. Beowulf returned home to Geatland.
- Because of you there will always be peace between our people, the Geats and the Danes. Feuds and strife from the past are now behind us.
- We seafarers now return to our King Hygelac. You have been good to us.
- 8. Beowulf was crowned King of the Geats.
- Thank you my king.
- You will be the prince and successor of my own throne.
- 2. Grendel Attacked Heorot.
- I hate the singing and carousing of Hrothgar’s followers, I'm gonna kill them!
- Hrothgar gave him the family heirloom sword and other gold and treasure as a thank you for killing Grendel and his mother. He warned him of the dangers of pride and fame.
- 2. Grendel Attacked Heorot.
- AHHHHH!!
- At Hygelac's death, Beowulf became king and he was a respected and kind king for many years.
- 3. Heorot lay silent.
- Grendel once again has eaten all the men! Someone has to stop that monster!
- Grendel was a monster who lived in the swamps near Heorot. He was angry when he heard the noise from the feasts in Heorot.
- 4. Beowulf travelled to Denmark.
- Let’s face that monster!
- Grendel went to kill all the people.
- Grendel killed 30 of Hrothgar’s men and the people were terrified of him so they lived at home quietly for the next twelve years.
- When news of Grendel’s attack on the Danes reached Geatland, Beowulf went to Denmark to help.
