  • in 3,000 BCE, Hieroglyphics were some of the first ways of writing and language!

  • the sharpened stone was the first ever writing and drawing utensil, it was used to carve images and symbols into walls of caves. it was made and used by cavemen, and it later became used across the world.
  • Printing, 593 CE!
  • the Chinese would print by using ink to write on wood and pressing the wood on paper.
  • the Kish tablet, made by the Sumerian people in 3,500 BCE, was built off of the cavemen's ideas, because they used the idea of carving with a stone into something yet this time, clay instead of cave walls.
  • The Johannes Gutenburg Printing Press, 1436!
  • in 1436, Johannes Gutenburg created the first printing press in Germany.
  • In around 3,000 BCE, the Egyptian people created a form of writing called Hieroglyphics which were symbols for communication, they built off the Sumerian people because they used the idea of carving symbols to write or explain something.
