- Nick Carraway is a young man who fought in WW1 who moved to New York City to learn about Bonding Buisnesss. He lives right next to a rich, mysterious man, notoriously named "Gatsby". He often here's rumors about the man, but only lets his own judgement foresee his interactions with anybody, making him the best person to narrate this story.
- Jay Gatsby is a wealthy self made multi-millionaire. He is the head of gossip and very mysterious, he lives on the East Egg(the side where most are inheriting wealth). He foreshadows that he made some very bad decisions to get to where he is in life, but also shows that he does it all for the love of a woman. Fitgeralz voices his "aggressive, any means" personality through Gatsby while on the flip side using NIck as his conservative compassionate side.It is seen that all of this hardwork and trials were for one thing, DAISY.
- Around Chapter 2-3 We are introduced to a strange woman named Daisy. She represents the greed and amorals of the East Egg side of society. Engulfed in herself and never taking count of others and puts all value into material expandable things instead of deep meaningful relationships.
