- What Happened ?
- With everyone working remotely and in different schedules, I don’t know how to manage all this . How are you coping up with all this ?
- So much is going on!I have some deliveries pending this week, two escalations to deal with and an important stakeholder meeting.
- I know, it’s a not easy especially since we don’t meet every team member f2f these days. However, have started some new practices that have worked out for me.
- What practices ?
- A weekly round table team meeting - this helps in ensuring we all are aware of each other progress, risk and pain areas if any. If you can do a video meet even better!
- Like focusing on extra communication. Do a quick call with every team member at least twice a week.
- That sounds doable!What else?
- New rules of internal engagement1) Call first -Pick up the phone if person is available rather than doing multiple rounds on emails. 2) Prompt Response- Always acknowledge receipt of emails or meeting invites with tentative plan around any action item.
- Ok! But what if people do not follow therules of engagement?
- Well it may happen that it takes time for everyone to get into practice but by regular communication this is certainly doable.
