- Clementine is a normal girl who is an English major, she also does fencing at Harvard. She doesn’t have any close friends or relatives and lives alone.
- She goes to the library to find a book for her English class, she sees a sword shaped object behind the book she was borrowing, she reached in the crack and touched the sword
- The sword transports her to an apocalyptic world in the future. She doesn’t know why this happened and is completely oblivious to any of the following events. She wanders for awhile until she sees movement at the 2nd floor of a ruined building.
- Clementine climbs up the stairs and goes into the room and finds Luke, the last human on earth (other than her). He explains that she was lucky to find him because she could’ve died on the way to his hideout.
- She thinks that it’s a good idea to disobey Luke and go outside to see what he was talking about. She gets attacked by a megafauna bird, her sword out of reach, and wrestles it off and kills it with the sword. She and Luke ate the carcass for dinner.
- (Time skip.) Clementine found out that she has to kill this enormous crow so she can get home. The crow overpowers her at one stage and she thinks she’s dead but Luke distracts the crow, sacrificing his life. Clementine stabs the crow in the eye and is transported back to her world.
