In Act 1 Reverend Parris finds Abigail and Betty dancing in the woods. Reverend Parris thinks they are conjuring the devil. Betty becomes unconscious and starts the witch hunt in Salem.
In Act 1 Abigail is informing the other girls what she said to John Proctor. She doesn't want the girls to say anything about them drinking blood to kill Elizabeth Proctor. Abigail threatens to kill them if they say any different.
In Act 2 Mary Warren is making a 'poppet' in a court session. She gives it to Elizabeth Proctor, but she leaves a needle in it. Abigail saw Mary make the 'poppet' in court and she stabbed herself with a needle to frame Elizabeth.
In Act 2 Cheever goes over to the Proctor house to arrest Elizabeth. They arrested her because she hasn't been attending church regularly and she had a 'poppet' which Cheever thought it was a voodoo doll. She was arrested and convicted of witchcraft.
In Act 3 John Proctor demands Mary Warren to confess that the girls accusations were untruthful. Abigail and the girls turned their back on Mary showing the judge that Mary "sent her soul on to them." She Breaks down and 'confesses' that John Procter made her do witchcraft
In Act 4 John Proctor is in jail and is about to get hung. He fake confesses to save his life, but he realizes he is going to live without a good name. He pleads to the judge to let him have his good reputation but they declined. John Proctor ripped up his confession and is sentenced to death by hanging.
