- Solar radiation is when the sun heats the ocean and causes evaporation. This water vapor then enters the atmosphere and staring the water cycle.

- As water travels from the roots out to the leaves, water is lost through tiny pores in a process called transpiration. Transpiration and evaporation together comprise total evapotranspiration, the amount of water returned to the atmosphere as a vapor to continue the water cycle.
- I am condensation which is when water which collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it or when the conversion of a vapor or gas to a liquid. Also, condensation requires the water molecules to give away heat energy.
- When the rain gets too big, gravity takes us from the clouds and we rain upon the earth. However we don't just rain, we come many forms of precipitation like rain, drizzle. sleet, hail snow pellets, snow, snow grains, ad ice crystals.
- Infiltration is the process by which precipitation or water soaks into subsurface soils and moves into rocks through cracks and pore spaces. Additionally, the bulk of rainwater and melted snow end up infiltrated.
