- Dally grabs Ponyboy to quickly go to the hospital because Johnny was dying Ponyboy isn't feeling well himself, he has been bruised and cut from the fight.

- When they are stopped from speeding, Dally gets to mention that his rushing him to the hospital because he got into a motorcycle accident. The police believes and lets them go.
- Dally and Ponyboy reached to the hospital at the right time. Johnny wasn't impressed that the Greasers won the rumble.
