- The Cause of the Haitian revolution was that the African people were unhappy with the treatment they were receiving. The Slaves wanted their freedom and the free blacks and whites wanted fairness in politics and other matters/
- I'm tired of this,something has to happen!
- The Slaves were treated inhuman.The slaves of the coffee ad sugar colony were inspired by the Declaration of Independence.They decided to revolt.
- The Africans revolted on June 25, 1789.In order to gain their freedom.They burned their houses and killed their masters.The leader of the rebellion was Toussaint L' Ouverture .
- THEY HAVE TO PAY!!!!!
- L'Ouverture made a constitution called The Haitian Declaration of Independence on October 5 ,1801,it abolished slavery.It stated that all residents were granted their citizenship and equality.

- The people of Haiti revolted against L'Ouverture on October 10, 1801.They accused him of exploiting for France.And also they were mad he made himself ruler for life.
- You can not be ruler for life!!!
- On October 20, 1802 L'Ouverture was betrayed by France and was captured.They imprisoned him and then he died in 1803.
