- Epstein-Barr virus, a sly robber, is on a journey through your body. It begins its adventure by sneaking into a quiet city, your immune system. At first, it is undetectable, slipping through the streets without raising alarm among the people - your immune system response and other cells. Once inside, it mingles with the cells, quietly making connections and gaining trust. Slowly, it starts convincing some cells to join its robbing group. These cells, initially unaware, become part of its posse, unwittingly aiding its mission to rob the entire neighborhood of its riches.
- As time passes, its influence grows. The virus becomes bolder, setting off tiny sparks of chaos here and there. Suddenly, the immune system, like police officers, notices the disturbance and rallies its troops to contain the infiltrator. There’s a skirmish within, where the immune system fights to regain control.
- Ultimately, the robber, or virus is not entirely defeated but rather tamed. It retreats to the sidelines, subdued but not eradicated, occasionally reminding the city of cells of its presence through moments of fatigue or occasional flare-ups, forever a part of the body’s tales.
