- It was a fair share for both countries. Spain was allowed to have both the Americas to explore and to conquer, which is what they had in mind before. Portugal, however, had Asia, Africa, and even what is now today known as Australia. Though Portugal got more land, each country got what they found most favorable.
- Christopher Columbus took a long journey for his quest to become an explorer. As a little boy, he often aspired to forge a successful future in being an explorer. When he was a teenager, Christopher went aboard a ship, yet it resulted in a shipwreck, leaving him swimming to nearby land on a piece of wood from the shipwreck, but he didn't stop after that. After learning Astronomy, Cartography, and Navigation, he then got ready by discovering a way to Asia, only the place wasn't Asia.
- The biggest impact that the Europeans had on conquering was their bringing of smallpox, killing millions of Native Americans.
