Oedipus

- When Oedipus is born his parents receive a message from the oracle stating that he will destroy the family and the kingdom. Oedipus father, the king sends his servant to go hang Oedipus. He cannot bring himself to do it and instead gives him to a Shepard.
- The Shepard did not have the funds to raise a child so he gave him to the king and queen of a nearby city. The king and queen accepted because they had no children of there own and because Oedipus was so beautiful.
- Years later Oedipus sees a oracle to see his fate. The oracle tells him that he will have 6 children with his mom and kill his dad. Not knowing that he was actually adopted Oedipus flees his home. along the way he gets into a argument with a noble over driving. Oedipus kills the old man who turns out to be his father.
- Oedipus hears that the town of Thebes is in danger from the monster known as the Sphinx. In order to defeat the Sphinx you had to answer it's riddle or be eaten. Oedipus solved the riddle easily and the Sphinx killed herself.
- After defeating the Sphinx Oedipus inherited the kingdom due to the king being dead, he also won the queens hand in marriage. The queen was actually his mother and he had 4 children with her one of them being Antigone.
- Thebes is having a plague attack it and no one is sure why. Oedipus sends someone out to find a oracle to tell them why. The oracle tells them that the kings killer is still among them and that is why the plague persist. after awhile it is found out Oedipus is killed his father and married his mother. His mom hangs herself and Oedipus gouges his eyes out and flees the kingdom leaving his two sons to rule..
