- Dr. Clara ! what happened to me ? why am i still being kept in the hospital and why did i feel like dying a few minutes ago when i was just having food while chatting with me friend ?
- Take a breath Ria ! I came to inform you that you're extremely alright . The reason why you felt like dying is because you were talking while eating . To make it simpler , Our respiratory system comprises of the nose , mouth , throat , trachea , and lungs facilitates breathing and gas exchange .

- Choking while eating and talking occurs because the airway and the esophagus share the pharynx . Normally , the epiglottis which is a flap of cartilage covers the trachea during swallowing , directing food to the esophagus. Talking disrupts this coordination , causing food to enter the trachea , triggering a choking response to clear the air way . That's why never talk while eating !
