- Being that it was a busy day, I started reading as I waited to have my sheep sheared. However, there was a beautiful merchant daughter there, and she immediately started talking to me. Asking me about the book I was reading.
- I had to go after talking, which I didn't want to do since I wanted to keep talking to her. I can't help but believe that as a shepherd boy, I don't stand a chance. Anyway, I have to travel to Tarifa. I've had the same dream twice, and there's a woman there who can interpret it.
- When I found out the elderly woman was a gypsy, I was scared. But when I told her about my dream, she appeared fascinated and said that I would have to pay her one-tenth of my wealth for her to interpret it, so I agreed and she went on about some pyramids. What a waste of my time. That was something I could have easily worked out for myself.
- At first, I didn't trust the Treasure Dream. Until I met this old king named Melchizedek, who irritated me at first but then he started saying intriguing things, naming my family, and where I went to church. I believed him when he said he was there to assist me to keep following my dreams if I gave him 10 sheep, which I did, and he handed me two small pebbles Urim and Thummin to help along my trip, so I went out to Tangier.
- But along this journey I was excited even though I didn't understand the townspeople. It was all nice when I thought I made a friend but in the end I ended up getting robbed and now I have nothing left.
- To gain some money, I offered to clear the windows of an old merchant's crystal business, and after doing so, he closed the shop and we sat at the lone table in the shop. He asked what I wanted, and I told him I needed money to go to Egypt, but he claimed it would take more than a year merely to obtain the money. He offered to pay for my return trip home. But I asked him if I could work for him now that I'm focused on buying some sheep.
