- What'd you guys get on that math test?
- I got a 65.
- Not good, I got a 50.
- Yikes, we're all failing.
- Eh, it's not like it matters that much anyways.
- Yeah he's right. Not like we get anything.
- Okay class, we need to do better with our test grades and classwork.
- For every grade above an 85, you'll get a gold star. Every grade less than that, you lose a gold star. Whoever gets 5 gold stars first will get movie tickets to the newest movie.
- Welp, I guess we have ti start studying now.
- me too.
- Yeah, definitely. I want to go see the new Avenger movie.
- I got a 95 on the last test. Brings me up to 10 stars *YAY*
- I got an 85, I have 7
- 1 month later
- I haven't been studying. I got a 75. I got my one and only star taken. *sigh*
- Dang Mr. B, you definitely fooled us. But now I study for all my classes.
- Whether you know it or not, I have operantly conditioned you guys to develop better academic habits by using reinforcement (stars) and Punishment (taking away)
