- While flying over enemy ground Johnny was shot down by a German Focke-Wolf 190.
- Those dam Germans, not again.
- At least I'm safe, for now...
- Johnny Bailed from his Spitfire before it hit the ground but he was too close and even with his parachute open he hit the ground hard.
- Johnny landed in a field of wheat, he ditched his parachute and mae-west lifejacket before hiding from the Germans looking for him.
- He's over here somewhere, follow me.
- I have a bad feeling about this.
- All of a sudden a French peasant came up to him on a motorbike.
- should I trust him?
- Hurry, hurry, with me I can help
- The man took Johnny to the forest and helped bury him in dirt and leaves, the Germans were persistent and searched the forest for them. Johnny fought through the pain of his burns and fell asleep.
- He woke up to a voice and the sound of footsteps, another peasant was sitting next to him, he told him to stay put and they watched as the Germans walked past.
- The man then took Johnny home and hid him in their house, he was safe, for now...
