(cheerfully) Grandmother, today at school we learned about the laws of gravity!

(hesitating) Well... we don't really study scriptures at school anymore. We have different subjects now, like mathematics, science, and English.
SCENE 2- Grandmother stops Knitting with slight disappointment and ask Khushwant about his prayers and scriptures..

(a silent disapproval in her eyes) I see. Times have changed.
(trying to cheer her up) But it's really interesting, Grandmother! We're learning so many new things. And I can still pray at home.
(her voice softer) Yes, my child. As long as you remember to keep your faith close.
