- Thomas Edison was the so called "Inventor of the light bulb." When he actually just took credit for the invention when the real inventor was a African-American man named Lewis Laitmer.
- The inventors of the airplane were the wright brothers and they were no taken seriously until the French tried taking their idea. fun fact: the brothers only flew together once on the airplane because of their father who feared that he would lose both of his sons.

The United States government wanted to buy the land for the gold, but the Sioux, wasn't interested in selling. the government didn't agree with the Sioux's decision so they sent soldiers to take it by force. Lieutenant Colonel George Custer and his soldiers attacked the Sioux at Little Big Horn River. During the Battle of Little Big Horn, the lieutenant and his men were ambushed and slaughtered by Sioux warriors.
