- The English people hated Charles I so much they executed him because he ignored the petition that he had agreed to. He was executed January 30th. What was left of the Parliament, put an end to the monarchy and the house of the lords.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy

- Charles l was so unpopular because he made the choice to raise taxes that were not authorized by Parliament. Parliament had passed a Petition of Right that he had agreed to. The petition had a lot of restriction on him that he had ignored it.
- Glorious Revolution
- The English Civil War consisted of 2 sides fighting each other the Parliamentarians (Roundheads) and Royalists (Cavaliers). They were fighting of religious freedom and the England government.
- English Bill of Rights
- Cromwell ruled until he died in 1658, then that when the Restoration of the Monarchy began. Charles ll had took over and became king. Charles ll suspended laws that parliament had passed against Puritans and Catholics.
- The Glorious Revolution, also know as ¨The Bloodless Revolution, which took place from 1688-1689. It was a overthrow of the king James ll. Mary who had replaced king James was his protestant daughter. Mary and her husband, William of Orange were involved in the Glorious Revolution.
- The English Bill of Rights created a constitutional monarchy in England. The king or queen acts like the head of everyone but his or her powers are limited by the law. The English Bill of Rights gave people their individual rights.
