- Hello everyone! Today we will be looking at the Taino people who lived by the Caribbean. These people were very well known and Christopher Columbus even met them!
- I got this book from my library. The librarian said it had lots of detail about the Taino.
- Hello Anao!
- Hello Cassie, I was told you would be here today. I'm quite excited to show you around!
- Like the huts behind me.
- So where do you sleep and live?
- We live along the coastlines and sometimes sleep in hammocks.
- We grew corn and foraged for nuts and roots. We fished in the waters and some people had flocks of duck for meat.
- What did you all eat? I mean with all this land you could grow and find many things.
- I trade fish from my stall for items from the Aztec even!
- Wow, this trading system does seen cool.
- Oh yay! This is the area where we trade. We trade all kinds of things with each other. There is even a boat off to mexico.
- I think that it was a great experience to see and learn about the taino people. My favorite part was the trading systems.
- I just wish I could really see them instead of reading about them in a book.
