- Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet, Juliet, and Tybalt enter the party, and Lord Capulet welcomes Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio, who are hiding behind masks.
- Saints don't move, even when they grant prayers.
- I'm praying for you to kiss me. Please grant my prayer, so my faith doesn't turn into despair.
- Romeo spots Juliet at the party, and he instantly becomes attracted to her beauty.
- Her mother's the lady of the house! I nursed her child!
- She's a Capulet! Oh this is a heavy price to pay! My life is in the hands of my enemy!

- Tybalt recognizes Romeo at the party, and he complains to Lord Capulet about it. Lord Capulet tells him to leave him alone and enjoy the party.
- His name is Romeo, the only son of Lord Montague.
- The only man I love is the son of the only man I hate! Love is wicked for making me fall in love with my enemy!
- Who's the one that wouldn't dance? Go ask his name!
- Romeo and Juliet meet, flirt with each other, and fall in love with each other at the party. They even kiss.
- Juliet goes away for a brief moment, and Romeo asks her nurse who she is. The nurse tells him that she is the daughter of Lady Capulet.
- Once the party is over, Juliet asks the nurse who the man that she kissed was. She finds out that this man is Romeo, the son of Lord Montague.
