- Both Native Americans and African Americans supported the loyalists. They both supported the loyalists because of the land and freedom. However most Americans didn't support the Revolution.

- On July 1775, moderates in congress draft the Olive Branch petition. They were asking the Kind to restore peace. The king rejects it and sends the British Navy to block American ships from leaving ports.
