Süžeeskeem Tekst

  • Act 1 Scene 3 (pages 31-36)"Soon-to-Be Bride"
  • "Well, marriage is exactly what I've come to talk to you about. Tell me, Juliet, would you like to get married?"
  • Act 2 Scene 4 (pages 67-72)"Lost the Goose"
  • "Poor Romeo! He's already dead. Stabbed by Rosaline's evil eye--shot in the ear with a love song. Cupid's arrow has split the very center of his heart."
  • Act 3 Scene 4 (pages 106-107)"No Time for Loss; Only Love"
  • Wait! Sir Paris, I'll be reckless and offer you my daughter's love. I think she'll go along with what I decide.
  • Juliet's mother called Juliet and the nurse over to speak about marriage. She brings it up at first, not only because girls her age already had children, but because the Honorable Paris wants to marry her.
  • Act 4 Scene 5 (pages 131-136)"Beginning of the End"
  • My lady is dead! Oh, curse the day I was born! Give me some brandy!
  • Romeo joins his friends with an unexpected new love and lack of despair just as Mercutio, the relative of Prince Escalus, is mocking him for his broken heart.
  • Just after Juliet's cousin, Tylbalt's death, by Romeo's hand, Lord Capulet marries off his daughter to a young nobleman. Unbeknownst to Lord Capulet, she is told to marry despite already having a husband.
  • After taking the potion that Friar Laurence gives her, Juliet falls into a deep death-like-sleep that lasts for forty-two hours. While she sleeps, her whole family is thrown in disarray at her "death."
