Hey Caroline, did you want to go to the Outsidelands music festival with me this October?
I want to go so badly, but my friend recently got covid from a music festival and brought it back home with him. Luckily he is fine now but unfortunately, his father caught Covid from him and is now hospitalized in a coma.
Oh my gosh that is absolutely terrible, I couldn't even imagine the devastation and guilt your friend is going through.
Yeah its so unbelievably tragic. When I found that out, it made me feel scared and uncomfortable at the thought of going to a music festival because I wouldn't want that to happen to my family and I.
Yeah same here, now I feel scared going to a festival, I wouldn't want that to happen to any of our families. That's the last thing that I want to happen.
Glad we are on the same page about this. Hearing that story hit too close to home for me, so I think it's best that we sit this one out.
Proof of Pathos This is an example of Pathos because the listener, who is my friend, let her emotions of the hospitalization affect her decision of committing to a music festival. Her guilt and empathy towards the situation persuaded her decision on not going.
