- July 16, 1918 the family was taken from jail into a room along with the doctor, the nurse and two servants. Where they were brutally shot and beaten to death.
- 1920, 2 years after the Romanov's death Anna Anderson came around claiming she was Anastasia Romanov. She matched the description so things got interesting.
