Digital Citizenship for 2nd Graders:Giving credit, avoiding plagarism and being original
(Isabelle's picture)
I can't believe I found my sister's second grade project online! I'm going to copy it and turn it in for mine! She won't mind...
This is sooooo easy! I hope the teacher doesn't remember I don't like cats though
THAT NIGHT AT HOME...
Hey sis! Guess what? I found your old cat assignment on google today and I used every part of it for my homework. I used your pictures, your words, your ideas. It was so easy, thanks for doing the hard work so I don't have to.
Using my work without giving me credit is called PLAGIARISM.
You did WHAT?!That's not fair. You at least have to give me CREDIT for my work or you need to create your own ORIGINAL work!
Elephants are intelligent creatures. There are Asian and African elephants. Here is a picture of an African Elephant. They have bigger ears than Asian Elephants.
I don't want to disappoint my teacher... I will do my own work and not steal other's ideas, words or pictures without giving them credit. Besides, I didn't like her cat presentation anyway!
