- I can't deal with working all day honey for the lord in exchanged for basic protection. We've been debt our whole lives due to inheritance from our parents debts. I've always been dreaming everyday when we will have the freedom to not have hard labor with only Sunday off to pray to god. I want to rest in peace with you. But I fear the church will send us to hell and wewill face everlasting suffering death for our actions of running away. And I want us to go to heaven.
- I agree with you darling, but we need be patient and also bring our son with us on this journey once he is done with his training.
- I think I've made the decision to not run away. We might have a chance to be middle class by selling our farm products and not do labor all day! God will be proud as well. One day, from the church we'll go to heaven for it.
- Our little boy also will get education as well which I'm excited about as well as the decline in feudal warfare and foreign invasions. However, I can't stop thinking about the strong bad smell here from the amount of newcomers... from the 3-field system and new trades routes that both boosted the economy. I understand why they would.
- 1 Month Later...
- Psst, over the years I've been attending events and socializing in this church I am skeptical on the church abusing their power in a way and the lack of discipline. The nuns and monks seemed to be not taking their role seriously from ignoring their vows as well as the priest being more focused on their family than the church. The church is selling positions to people too, which is not right. What if the person who bought the position was corrupted? Not only that, when we were serfs we had to provide goods, food and livestock to the church without payment. It's not fair from us serfs before and every other serf working on the field everyday to provide and give to higher social classes.
- Wait I see I an opened notebook.. maybe that's our sons notebook, it reads, "To my lovely parents I will always love, I have decided to leave on my own to seek freedom and a town I will call home. There I see numerous diseases arising and possibly the church gaining too much power leading to potential consequences in the near future. Our town has too many struggles with craft guilds and merchant guilds that is being faced and they are beginning to riot. I don't think this town will maintain its status any longer. Therefore, I am on beginning my journey to a better life."- your loving son
