- The British East India company had set up trade with the Indians and had become so powerful that they took control over India. They also had their own army and also had the Sepoy helping them. They eventually had a war with the Sepoy because of unfair treatment, and when the war was over, The British government began ruling India instead of just the EIC.
- The Sepoy was an Indian military. They had been working with the British, but after a while, they were treated unfairly in religious ways and other ways like how they ammunition they had to once used was greased with pig and cow fat which was very much so against their religion. They eventually rebelled against the British and the war went on for over a year. Though in the end, the British won.
- We are not going to fight for you British anymore because of unfair treatment!

- Mahatma Gandhi was very inspirational, as he led India to freedom without harming anyone. He chose to peacefully break laws that he believed were unfair and although this landed him in jail many times, he always kept hope that Britain would let India have their independence.
