The defendant is Professor Ethan Roberts. He strongly believes that nature knows best.On the other hand, the plaintiff, Dr. Emily Lawson asserts that nature does not always do what’s better. The intensity of their disagreement on the role of nature in determining the fate of species escalated to such a degree that it almost resulted in a physical confrontation. Mr. Roberts even came to slap Dr. Lawson. As a means to address their conflicting views in a more civil and structured manner, Mrs Lawson chose to engage in a trial.
