- A Rough Rodent Week by Josie Sachs
- One night, Emile and Remy were living it up at the Rocky Rat Club. They were dancing and having a great time and thought nothing of it when the DJ suddenly sneezed. However, COVID-19 virus droplets were sent through the air looking for a new host, which found the perfect spot in Remy's nose.
- The next day, Remy went to work feeling just fine with a small cough. However, at this point, the virus droplet traveled from Remy's nose to his throat. Inside of his throat, this virus tricked a healthy cell into thinking it was a protein. Because of this invasion, Remy's affected cell will spread the virus throughout his healthy cells.
- Four days after the party, Remy's some health throat cells are destroyed, so Remy feels his throat sore and rough. His cough has gotten worse as his body fights off the virus-infected cells. His body temperature is increasing as well to help speed the process of fighting the virus.
- this feeling is over-rat-ed.
- Six days after the party, the virus-infected cells have dwindled. Remy's B-cells are at work creating an antibody for his immune system while he takes it easy. Remy is still feeling worse, however, with a high fever, body aches, and a nasty cough as his body fights the virus.
- At day 10, Remy is still taking it easy with his body a little ache-y and he starts to recover. Remy's cough is still there but not as prominent. This is. great sign that his immune system is just doing its job as antibodies are being created to fight COVID-19 in the future.
- After 14 days, Remy has fully recovered and is back at work. He has been one of the lucky rats with COVID-19, and his T-cells in his immune system will now work to protect him if the virus were to reach him once again.
- Remi and Emile were living their best lives partying at the Rocky Rat club, when the DJ sneezed without covering his cough very well. The rat brothers though nothing of it, but a virus particle was made airborne with the sneeze and found a perfect home in Remi's nose.
