  • In medieval towns, markets were a popular place to trade and sell your surplus of goods. Many things were sold at the market such as surpluses of crops, livestock, and cloth for clothing. People who didn't live near markets had to walk about 10 miles a week to get their goods.

  • Mary is a poor woman who lives in a very rundown home. She is a weaver and has a loom inside her house. She sells her weaved creations at the market across the street. Mary and her "roommates" wish they had a better home like the wealthy.

  • Joe has been sick with the Black Plague. He has called in a doctor to help him. The doctor says that he can try to cure the disease by bloodletting and using herbs. Joe trusts the doctor and lets him treat him.

  • Bob has been accused of stealing livestock. Since stealing livestock is a major crime, he will be hung publicly. This is a warning to others that if they do any major crime, the same will happen to them.
  • People in the town were busy a lot with their jobs, however they did get some breaks. Children and adults enjoyed playing both outside and inside. Children played games like blind-mans bluff. Adults played card games and board games too.
