It celebrates the coming back of the holy spirit back to on the apostles and other disciple. Jesus promise that his holy spirit will come back and will cleanse our sins.

Even though the church is corrupted at that time we must remember that even they sin they are unforgivable but we must know how to forgive like god forgiving us.
